Why do you come to Pizza Hut Restaurants?
We hope it’s because of the great atmosphere, top notch service and the space to enjoy good times with friends and family.
But above all, we want you to visit us for our food. Because, bottom line, that’s what we’re here for.
Our ambition is to be Net Zero by 2030. You can read about loads of big steps we’ve taken to reduce our carbon footprint in the PLANET section. But you’re here because you want to know about the good things we’re doing from a food perspective, right? Well...
The food we purchase is the biggest emitter of carbon emissions for our business and so we are working hard to make changes in this area. Over the past few years we have introduced a range of plant-forward foods to our menus including a brilliant non-dairy ch**s* through our partnership with Violife which started in 2017 and of course, the amazing Pepperphoni which was introduced to the menu in 2019!
Even our cheesecakes no longer include cheese! Eating less meat and more plant-forward foods is one way we can all help to reduce the impact we have on our planet as well as helping to protect nature in our supply chain.
We are passionate about reducing food waste! We’re a steering group member of WRAP’s Courtauld 2025 agreement making us a leading voice in the industry when it comes to food waste. Since signing the agreement, we’ve reduced operational food waste by 80% against a target of 25%!
Not only do we work hard to keep operational food waste to a minimum, but more than half our restaurants donate surplus buffet pizza to good causes in their local area.
We know it’s not all about carbon reduction and we want to ensure we are a good citizen for biodiversity and society too. That’s one of the reasons why we have removed palm oil from most of our products and where (in small amounts) it is used, we make sure to purchase RSPO certified segregated palm oil.
KEEPING IT LOCAL
We’re proud of being a British Pizza chain (although we love lots of other countries) and want to keep things fresh and support our local suppliers. That’s why we source all our cheese from the UK and Ireland!
WE'RE NICE TO ANIMALS...
All our meat is Red Tractor or equivalent, and so is our milk. That means the animals are well looked after. The eggs in all our ingredients are free-range too.
We don’t want to the world’s sea and oceans to run out of our fishy friends. If you’re having sea food or fish, everything wild we serve you is line and pole caught and is MSC rated 1-3..
A PROPER BREW
Some restaurants don’t really care where your beans and leaves come from. We do. All the tea and coffee we sell is Rainforest Alliance or Fairtrade certified.
WORRIED ABOUT WEIRD FOOD?
We don’t have any genetically modified ingredients on our menu, or any artificial colourings, flavours or sweeteners (other than branded soft drinks).
We don’t hide anything. Our menu offers full transparency when it comes to nutritional information. You can see at a glance our balanced range of healthier and more indulgent items and that means you can make an informed choice when you order.
Read our allergens statement and see full nutritional and dietary information.
IT'S EASY BEING GREEN
We offer free salad with all our main meals including all our kids’ meals.
FREE TO GO GLUTEN
Everyone’s welcome at the Hut. Our menu offers a dedicated gluten free pizza (for adults and children) - and since 2017 we've proudly served vegan pizza.
KEEPING IT SWEET
70% of our soft drinks menu is low sugar or sugar free, and only no added sugar soft drinks are available on our children’s menu.
