Pizza Hut backs the Fair Tips Charter

Alasdair Murdoch, CEO of Pizza Hut UK says, "We're delighted to be the first supporter of Unite's and Daily Mirror's Fair Tips Charter. We think our staff should have an appropriate reward for providing excellent service, which is why we've always made sure they receive 100% of the tips given by customers. Tips are a way of saying thank you, personally; that's a great motivating factor for our staff and is not something any company should be profiteering from. We've been calling for an industry-wide commitment to pass on all tips directly to staff, as customers would expect. We hope this Charter is the first step to a national scheme, which recognises best practice amongst our industry."
